Today’s tasty adventure is brought to you by Saun’s Kitchen and the 1 lingering pear left in my kitchen from Monday’s lunch.
ugly pear tarts

These are my “Ugly Pear Tarts”. Ugly because I had no real interest in how good they looked, just how good they tasted.

Ingredients:
1 Pear
1 Pillsbury Pie Crust
1.5 Tbsp sugar
Nutmeg, Cinnamon, & Ginger
1-2 Tbsp butter

I cut the pie crust into 4 pieces. This is where the ugly comes in because the pieces are “pie slice” shaped and don’t fold into anything pretty around the filling. I thinly sliced the pears and mixed them with the sugar & spices. Then I layered a couple of pear slices with a sliver or two of butter and folded the crust around the pears. 425 degrees for 20-25minutes.

They are quite tasty and oddly taste like the apple pies from McDonalds. YUM!
