Back in early 2008 I was approached by a women on Facebook about helping with wardrobe for a short film. She was the producer for the film and was in charge of getting the crew together. At the time she didn’t know what the director’s exact wardrobe needs were but wanted to start building up a qualified crew of talent.

I had considered doing wardrobe work before but honestly didn’t think it would be something I was into. At the same time I was looking to stretch myself creatively and given that something in the universe had influenced this woman to reach out to me I took it as a sign to take the opportunity to learn, meet new people, and build good contacts in a different area.

Needless to say it was one of the craziest/stressful/most fun projects I have ever worked on. I worked with one other women to shop the stores, find clothing, jewelry, etc to help meet the director’s vision. We spent 1 week during an intense heat wave with 20+ cast/crew members crammed in the hottest & smallest places in an effort to create art. I’d do it again in a minute.
